What We Do and Fund
Tenovus funded scientists and clinicians in Cardiff, Southampton, Liverpool and Bournemouth are acknowledged to be amongst the world's leading experts, and are undertaking new and unique research projects in the search to control and treat various cancers.
Oakhaven Trust, Registered Charity Number 900215, provides specialist palliative care and support to those facing life-limiting illness and their loved ones in both a home and hospice setting.
Our team of specialist Oakhaven nurses, doctors, counselors and physiotherapist ease physical symptoms and offer psychological, spiritual and social support. Their care is tailored to suit the needs of each individual and, with a blend of expertise and compassion, the team offers support for people when they most need it.
Held on closed roads in the town centre, the two hour sprint race is something everyone should do at least once.
The crowds, the rasamatz, the enthusiastic commentary, the atmosphere of a Sunday afternoon, all go to make this a unique experience.
Four drivers are allowed per car and there are classes for juniors (under 16’s) and seniors.
The circuit is flat out for most of the way with just two corners of note during the 1km lap.
The local opposition is absolutely first class. Teams such as Spirit of Verwood, Royce and RH Franks are very
hard to beat.
